RESPECT, Inc. grew out of a meeting of approximately 40 representatives from the most prominent African American Organizations in Anne Arundel County, that was held at the Asbury United Methodist Church on May 14, 1999.
RESPECT, Inc. is a 501(c) (6), whose purpose is to serve as a coalition of organizations and individuals to significantly enhance African American accomplishments in the areas of Religion, Education, Social, Political, Economics, Cultural/Civic, and Technology.
RESPECT, Inc.’s mission is to coordinate and enhance important initiatives’ in the Anne Arundel County African American Community:
To develop and implement a proactive strategy to engender RESPECT for African Americans in the Anne Arundel County.
To promote an effective networking process of communication, cooperation, coordination and collaboration principally among African American organizations. (please see membership agreement form)
RESPECT, Inc. is not designed to duplicate or replace the mission and function of any other African American Organization in Anne Arundel County.
RESPECT, Inc. is designed to under gird and enhance the effectiveness of all Anne Arundel County Organizations by it continuous focus on unity.
